Hey so I know I've been pretty absent from here and it's been 2 whole YEARS since I posted a journal entry but life comes at you fast and I have just completely dropped the ball with this. So I'm very sorry if you've wondered about where I've been or how I've been doing during what might be the most confusing and terrifying major historical event I've lived through to date. It's been a confusing year, I just had a root canal and I'm terrified of dentists and I'm so fucking bored all the time but at least I have a phat check I can cash in so I can finally replace the pair of glasses I've been wearing since 2016.


I don't really have a lot of things to say. I mostly just want to let you all know that I've been doing the whole Facebook page thing and I've discovered that I'm not very good at it! The other thing I wanted to talk about is how god awful this new layout is. Like this is genuinely terrible. I understand that dA did need a major revamp but I really.. feel like they could have used more user input before doing this. It's just not good. There are some things I like but this is just a lot to get used to. This is probably not enough to make me leave the site entirely but this still really sucks a lot!! I just wanna tell people what song I'm listening to when I write a journal entry lmao.


God. Anyway, that's mostly everything I wanted to say. I hope you're all doing well. I have a lot on my plate in terms of art so I hope you're looking forward to it. Also, if you have any suggestions on what I should draw, I absolutely encourage you tell let me know!! I love feedback, I love you, I hope you're all staying safe out there.

Y'all, I'm so fuckin sorry it's been this long since I've updated this thing. A lot has happened. A hurricane happened in August, and then I came down with bronchitis in early December. And if you have asthma like I do, bronchitis is like... the one thing you don't want. It was hell. Then my boyfriend got kicked out around Christmas, and then my mom got appendicitis and an appendectomy. And those last two things happened in near succession lol. It was nightmarish.

But things are great now so I thought it'd be a good time to update this thing. I have a lot of art plans this year and I'm actually pretty damn excited about it. As some of you may have noticed, I put up a new poll for the first time in years and I wanted to know what character y'all would like to see me draw. Please consider voting on the poll bc only ..like 5 people have done it and I'm gonna need more than 5 people to decide on who to draw lol.

Anyway! I recently got into Star vs. the Forces of Evil. It's a really cute show, but it's kinda hard to keep track of the episodes. So I might go ..watch em somewhere if I have the time.

Also, serious question: Is anyone else having issues with Paint Tool SAI lagging while using Firefox?? or is it just me? I've been having problems for almost a week and it's making me upset. : / Seems like it lags the most when I'm using Youtube. Like Sai becomes unusable if I'm using Youtube. It sucks.

Expect a drawing of a Real Sweet Boy in a few days and then a drawing of another Real Sweet Boy in like ..3 weeks. Maybe 4.

So it's been a very long time since I last updated my journal so I thought i would go ahead and do that right now.

How are you all doing? I guess I'm doing alright. Depends on what your definition of "alright" is I guess, lol. So maybe you already know this or maybe you don't, but I have yet to post a sketchdump. It was supposed to be posted at the beginning of the year, technically. But I was sick on New Year's and I actually didn't have that much to post?

I've actually slowed down a bit in terms of drawing. And that makes me really sad. I usually draw so much garbage, I usually have a dump ready to go after about 4-6 months. But now it's like I can barely make it to a year. I feel really bad about that. I worry that I'll slow down even more. Or that I'll stop drawing all together, which I doubt would ever happen. But still.

Anyway, I want to change that. So there should be a dump ready to go by the weekend. Hopefully. There's a lot of stuff I need to do. I'm helping my boyfriend with some stuff he's doing, and I'd like to work on some brand new stuff. But right now, I'm working on a personal drawing of my character Id, who I haven't actually drawn in like...forever. It's been such a long fucking time since I've drawn him. So be excited for that.

I've also decided that Livestream is a pile of garbage that I don't know how to use anymore because I am elderly. I'm an old lady now and technology terrifies me. So I'm switching over to Picarto. I've heard good things about it. We'll see how that goes.

I figured I should update this just so I could get that last one off my front page.
Anyway I'm doing pretty well. Been drawing quite a bit, waking up a little earlier. Feeling a little happier in general. It might have to do with the fact that summer is almost over and it hasn't been as hot. But I can't really say that I care why. I mean, as long as I'm not sad then why should I care?

I have a lot going on in terms of art. I actually have a list on my phone of all the characters I've been itching to draw for a very long time and I'm actually really excited because?? i just am???? it's gonna be great you're gonna love it. You're- you're gonna lose your shit, just you wait.

I'd also really love to start livestreaming again but it doesn't seem like people were really interested in that???? I dunno, I'll probably still stream no matter how many people are watching, I just like doing it.

Maybe in a few days/weeks, I'll get that going again. We'll see.
